Hybrid & Storage
Lithium-ion battery storage and hybrid plant design: plan generation around demand, not around the sun.
Storage turns solar from “generation while the sun shines” into “supply when it is needed”. In our hybrid designs, photovoltaic generation pairs with battery storage; SCADA-based load balancing dispatches output according to what the grid needs.
We build storage on lithium-ion technology: high energy density, no memory effect and slow self-discharge make it the standard for solar applications. Cells run at 3.6V nominal and 4.2V peak; capacity loss after around 500 cycles stays near 10%. It is also a safer chemistry than lithium-polymer.
Cell chemistry is chosen per application — LiPo, LiFePO4 or lithium titanate — and the battery’s C-rating (charge/discharge rate) is sized to the usage scenario.
